LA Voix humaine

LA VOIX HUMAINE 人類的聲音

Director

LA VOIX HUMAINE (人類的聲音) is an experimental monodrama with music performed in Shanghainese, or a language that can never be understood by anyone else except the actor. In this bold reimagined 10 minutes short play, language is stripped away to reveal the raw essence of human emotion. Performed in an unrecognizable tongue, the piece invites audiences to listen beyond words—through movement, tone, and silence. It asks: when identity and language are gone, what remains that makes us human? Behind a rain-slicked barrier, one voice becomes every voice—lonely, longing, and achingly real.
