Rhinoceros in love 戀愛的犀牛

Da Xian (大仙)

Ma Lu, a solitary zookeeper who tends to his beloved rhinoceros and harbors an overwhelming, unyielding passion for Ming Ming, a woman as distant and dazzling as the city lights. His love is pure, irrational, and all-consuming. As he chases after her through a landscape of emotional indifference and fleeting connections, his world teeters between the absurd and the sublime.

Part love letter, part howl into the void, this play explores what it means to love with reckless abandon in a time when sincerity seems endangered. Fiercely lyrical and emotionally charged, this play has captivated generations with its bold language, aching vulnerability, and enduring question: Is love still possible in a world that refuses to believe in it?
