Ebbing Echoes of Time (涓聲回響) is a concert series launched and organized by Zhi Qu, featuring excellent emerging young Chinese artists from various conservatories among New York area. It served not only as a part of fundraising & community engaging events in the Chinese opera production Remorse (傷逝) but also as a celebration of classical Chinese art songs composed by around the 1920-1940s. From the first Chinese art song 大江東去 (The Endless River Eastward Flows) in 1920 to songs from different Chinese theatrical and cinematic works in the 1930s, immersing the audience in a heartfelt, simple yet profound musical journey that reflects the spirit of an era marked by cultural fusion and intellectual awakening. The intermission of the concert also featured a conversation between the artists, conveying the original intentions and goals of their artistic creation to the audience.
